A colorful eco-boutique
9000things is a woman-owned small business focused on sustainability and creativity. Our eco-boutique and design studio are based outside of Boston, Massachusetts.
We source materials from salvage yards, recycle centers and vintage shops.
We work with local small manufacturers whenever possible.
Ew, plastic
Plastic sucks, we know. Which is why we source all of our acrylic from a US manufacturer’s reject pile. They make acrylic for industrial application and each time they mix a custom color they make extra in case some of the sheets are defective. We buy the defective pieces!
Our products are inherently limited run because we rarely get the exact same color and translucence twice. You may also notice tiny imperfections in the acrylic, but don’t worry we QC everything.

We’re so glad to have met you all during our time at Bow Market! Ultimately we decided to move our tiny shop entirely online to serve you better (and have Sundays off again?) See you on the internet!

A huge thank you to everyone who found and visited us while we had a shop at Bow Market in Somerville. When our lease came up in March 2020 (pre-corona, if you can believe it) we decided it was best to try out something new. Then Corona happened and we opted to move entirely online.
